Doomsday Device

A noise device constructed on top of a cellular phone circuit. When powered, the device outputs a beeping tone similar to a busy tone from a phone. The user is able to manipulate the sound by touching two or more of the seven metal surfaces mounted in the box. When these metal pads are touched, points on the circuit connect, or become closed, and change the speed and tone of the noise being generated.

Atari Punk Console

A step-tone generator, based on a circuit designed by Forest M. Mims III. It is a single oscillator, with two pitch shift buttons and a built in light dependent resistor.

Minimum Theremin

A hand built circuit based on Arthur Harrison's version of the theremin.

Noise Podium

A device designed around a circuit called the "Blast Fed Disaster." This machine outputs heavy noise and loud rhythms.

Broken, Unbroken

A sound generator based on a 1960's circuit named the "Cracklebox." It is a body contact, touch based, interactive sound sculpture. When two or more of the metal rods are touched, a circuit is completed, which produces a sound. Many sounds can be created by incorporating more than one person, and different combinations of rods.

Broken, Unbroken Revision

Straying away from the smaller gallery sculpture, this project incorporates the use of wooden pallets, and metal rebar, allowing users to further interact with the sculpture and each other.
